“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to have a Post-credits Scene?

I hate post-credit scenes. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into a movie, but please don’t force me to sit awkwardly in a theater for ten minutes reading all of the names just to get another minute or two of content.

“Audience manipulation” is what it is, I say!! I’ll have none of it!!

So, I’ve stopped doing it. Didn’t after “Ant Man”. Refused after “Age of Ultron”. Half this stuff you can just watch online a few days later anyways.

Why not take back 15 minutes of my life, right?

But then “Star Wars” came along and now I have to make a decision. Rumor has it that “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will have post-credits scene. Odds are that it’ll be something from the upcoming “Rogue One”, which is a “Star Wars”-based war film set for release next year. There is also a rumor that the post-credits sequence will be a teaser for “Star Wars: Episode VIII” which has begun filming in Ireland.

I personally think it’s a bit early for “Episode VIII” material (That movie isn’t due until May of 2017), so smart money is on “Rogue One” which looks fantastic.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” comes out December 18. “Rogue One” hits theaters December 16, 2016. “Star Wars: Episode VIII” will be released on May 26, 2017.
