Latest Patch for Star Wars: Battlefront Released
Finally we can say a big FU to those little A Wings. The latest patch for EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront will finally nerf those little bastards and bring an end to the devestating shield-up suicide runs. In addition to nerfing the ships, we are also getting a new map – Hoth at Twilight. I guess really that isn’t a new map as much as a new take on one of the games current locations, but, hey, it’s free to take it. It’ll be available for seven of the game modes: Supremancy, Turning Point, Fight Squadron, Drop Zone, Walker Assault, Blast, and Heroes vs. Villains.
The oddest (but maybe most awesome) new feature is a film grain setting for your screen. Star Wars: Battlefront is a beautifully rendered game, but for those who want a more authentic 1977 experience, you can now adjust a slider bar in your video settings to make it look all grainy and old school. It’s like a tribute back to the days before George Lucas had too much time on his hands.
Click here are the official patch notes to read more of the changes. Do note that they have once again tweaked the homing shot, but this time to lock 0.3 seconds faster, so maybe there is hope for players like me.
The changes will be for all platforms. Also, they patched the Battle of Jakku DLC into the game so feel free to delete the DLC and get back some harddrive space. Yay!!
