Almost everything about the Netflix series “Daredevil” was brilliant. The fights were awesome. The acting was rock solid. The cinematography was off the charts.
Everything was great up until the very last moment of the very last episode of season one. It was in those final fleeting seconds where we saw the finalized Daredevil suit and when many views, like me, let out a collective “eh, really?”
It wasn’t awful. I’m not trying to hurt some very capable costumer designers feelings (or am I?). It just didn’t quite fit as far as I was concerned. In black pants and a red bandana, Daredevil was real on my screen. In the red padded suit he just wasn’t anymore. For me, it was a trip back to Earth from the cloud I had been on for 13 absolutely brilliant episodes.
That said, the good people at Netflix tweeted a teaser photo of the season 2 suit and at first glance it looks like they revisited it.

Mind you, a suit isn’t gonna make or break the show. Armor nipples didn’t kill the Batman (though they tried to). But it’s nice to think that maybe they were listening.
