Disney Will Break Ground on Their New Star Wars Expansions Next Month
Disney CEO, Bob Iger, announced this week at the company’s annual shareholders meeting that construction for Star Wars expansions will begin soon, but that the plans had been tweaked.
No details were given, but Iger was clear to suggest that we not “focus on what was in an earlier design plan because what we are building will be great.” This construction is being touted as the “largest single-theme land expansion ever” in Disney’s history.
Disneyland already closed several attractions in January to make way for the new expansion. Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida will shut down numerous attractions in April to make way.
No targeted date has been set for the completion. Here is a link to our prior coverage.
