Marvel has announced plans to produce a sequel to this year’s “Ant-Man” entitled, “Ant-Man and the Wasp”.  The character of The Wasp was shown in flashbacks during the film to be Henry Pym’s wife, Janet van Dyne. During the mid-credits scene, Pym (played by Michael Douglas) is shown giving the suit to daughter, Hope van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly).

No point in getting too excited at this stage. “Ant-Man and the Wasp” doesn’t hit theaters until July 6, 2018. To make room in their schedule, Marvel has pushed “Black Panther” to February 16, 2018, while “Captain Marvel” is now set for March 8, 2019.
