A Brief Guide to Jessica Jones

Claire Landsbaum, at Slate.com, has written a nice “Who is Jessica Jones?” piece.

For those who saw the trailer below, they didn’t get much back story.

This piece sheds some light on her origins, as well as her first comic series, “Alias”, by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos. It would appear the Netflix series will be based off of “Alias” and that should make the fans happy.

Anyways, read the full analysis here. It’s very thorough and very good.

The bigger point to all of this is how “Jessica Jones” fits into the master plan. This series will connect to “Daredevil” and two upcoming series featuring the characters Luke Cage and Iron Fist. All four heroes will then join in a crossover series, ‘The Defenders”, which is based on yet another Marvel story.

The Cage and Iron Fist series will premiere in 2016. “Jessica Jones” will arrive on Netflix on November 20 and stars Krysten Ritter.
